My primary focus through my consulting firm has been working to address the issue of over-r

I am passionate about working collaboratively with the various ministries of the Provincial/Federal governments, Indigenous communities, and community service organizations to effect positive change in all systems of justice for Indigenous peoples. My primary focus through my consulting firm has been working to address the issue of over-representation of Indigenous children & youth in Ministry care and the over-representation of Indigenous peoples within the criminal and family justice systems.

Professional consulting services that are creative & innovative

Connective Support Services in partnership with the Council of Yukon First Nations - Indigenous Women’s Shelter – Senior Advisor – Creation and development of programs and services for Indigenous women escaping violence, building the necessary bridges with all levels of government to optimize processes & systems, and building easy to follow standards of operating procedures.


Connective Support Services – Senior Advisor on a reintegration program to assist incarcerated individuals from various pre-trial correctional centres across BC as a support for on-going services beyond sentencing or bail & the creation of an Indigenous Advisory Committee on a province-wide scope for the organization.


Department of Justice Canada / Native Courtworker & Counselling Association of BC – Project Coordinator – Collecting responses from Indigenous Courtworkers across Canada to contribute to the National Action Plan – MMIW & G Final Report.


Department of Justice Canada / Native Courtworker & Counselling Association of BC – Principal Writer for the National Courtworker Curriculum Project. In addition, providing recommendations to Department of Justice representatives & Executive Directors of Indigenous Courtwork Programs at a national conference of Indigenous Courtworkers in Ottawa, ON.


Impact of Bill C-75 & Indigenous Courtwork Programs & Presentation to NCCABC Native Courtworker Program front-line staff in partnership with BC Corrections – Policy & Program Analysts;


Principal Writer / Author of the Native Courtworker Procedure Manual to train front-line Courtworkers on their roles in assisting Indigenous clients intersecting with the criminal justice system;


Province-wide Evaluation / Needs Assessment re: NCCABC Courtworker Program;


IPPI (Indigenous Policy & Program Innovation) Hub – Causes & Solutions re: Over-representation of Indigenous persons within the criminal justice system – ICW Programs across Canada and Indigenous Justice Programs (Restorative Justice);


Participation in Justice Summits – Indigenous Justice / Justice & Technology;


Participation in the review / update of the Provincial Policing Standards with respect to missing persons, sex workers, domestic violence, restorative justice, and First Nations policing;


Participation in Crown Policy re: Charge Assessment, probation and bail policy updates; and


Participation in the Colloquium on Legal Aid.
